Our Activities



The pioneering Collins family settled in the Mount Gambier area and commenced grazing in 1867.  The Collins family commenced planting Blue Gums in 1994 as part of an integrated and diversified farming system using technical assistance from government agencies.


Plantation Timbers saw an opportunity to provide other local landholders with the opportunity to integrate plantations into their properties following internal analyses by the principal, Peter Collins, who concluded, when including his own inputs, that wood production was a viable economic land use.


Since the 1990s, Plantation Timbers has established excellent business relationships with several international clients and with several private growers.
